NAAFE Academy is a specialised film editing academy in Kerala created for aspiring film editors who want to learn the craft through practical training, professional workflows, mentorship and exposure to the realities of filmmaking.
We believe becoming a film editor is about much more than learning editing software. It is about understanding story, performance, rhythm, emotion, sound and cinema — and knowing when to cut, why to cut and what the audience should feel.

Editing begins with understanding cinema. Students learn how stories are constructed visually, how scenes work and how images, performances and sound come together to create meaning.

We focus on the creative language of editing — cuts, rhythm, pacing, continuity, performance and narrative structure. Students learn not just how to cut, but why a cut works.
Practice — Learn by Doing
Editing cannot be mastered through theory alone. Students work with footage, scenes and projects to develop practical editing ability and confidence.
